How he got here
Banksy was a surprise gift from Mariah, because she knew I’d always wanted a pug of my own. I am a grown man, and when we walked in and I saw that litter of pups, I cried. Then Banksy came over, sat down on my lap, and fell asleep — and that was that. Some decisions get made for you.
He’s colorful, so I named him after one of my favorite artists — Banksy, the graffiti guy — because the world needs more surprises and more joy, in all shapes and sizes.
