What to send
- Fan mail. Letters get read out loud in the barn. The goats have never once reacted, which we choose to interpret as attentive listening. Include a return address and you may get something back.
- Letters to the animals. Banksy receives the most mail on the property and answers none of it. LeeLoo, Gus, and the goats accept correspondence care of the address above.
- Checks and money orders. Every dollar goes where the Support the Farm page says it does — hay, vet bills, and whatever broke this week. Make checks out to Michael Schricker until the nonprofit paperwork is finished.
- Care packages. Whole milk, by the gallon, is the single most useful thing a person can bring (bring, not mail). Beyond that: hay, feed-store gift cards, dog treats, and anything a man has publicly failed to buy correctly.
- Books to sign. If you already have a copy and want it signed, mail it with a return envelope and postage and it will come back with a chicken-scratch signature and possibly hay.
What not to send
- Live animals. Yes, this has to be said.
- Anything perishable by mail. Milk goes to the visit form, not the mailbox.
- Cash. Checks, money orders, or the buttons on the support page all work better and none of them blow away.
