The short version: we collect as little as possible, we sell none of it, and the goats cannot read. The longer version follows.
What we collect
Email addresses — if you join the mailing list or the Penpal Club. Used only to send you the things you signed up for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link that actually works.
Contact form messages — your name, email, and whatever you write us. Used to reply to you and for nothing else.
Payments — all payments are processed by PayPal on PayPal’s servers. We never see or store your card number. For physical goods (like the book), PayPal shares your shipping address with us so we can, you know, ship the thing.
Anonymous visit counts — we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless counter to see which posts people read. It does not track you across the internet, build a profile of you, or follow you home. Unlike our goats.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data. We don’t share your information with anyone except the services required to run this site (our web host and PayPal). We don’t run advertising trackers. The algorithm has done enough to all of us.
Your rights
Want your email removed, your data deleted, or a copy of whatever we have (it’s not much)? Use the contact page and we’ll handle it promptly, usually while standing in a pasture.
Third-party links
This site links to Facebook and PayPal. Once you’re on their turf, their privacy policies apply, and may God have mercy on your data.
